It is finally June! Time to start thinking about your summer reading. The ALA has compiled summer reading lists for grades k-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8. Enjoy!
CelebrateNational Library Weekby visiting your local public library, and while you are there, don't forget to vote for your library budget. Thank your librarians for their tireless work to promote literacy and lifelong learning, not to mention all the free community events they offer each week.

Keep children reading over the summer to prevent a loss of skills known as the "summer slide." Encourage them to select their own books to see that reading is a pleasurable activity and to motivate them to become lifelong learners and readers
